Kahbang Edith Walla alias Kah Walla (* 1966 in South Cameroon ) is a Cameroonian politician and entrepreneur.

Political career

Kah Walla joined Cameroon's largest opposition party Front social démocrate (FSD) in March 2007 and was President of the FSD Strategy Commission and member of the FSD Board of Directors. She announced her candidacy in the upcoming presidential election in October 2010. As a result, she was expelled from the party at the end of November because, according to her party in 2007, she used a non-transparent way of dealing with campaign funds and made statements that were harmful to the party.

Kah Walla, on the other hand, announced that she had recently left the party of her own accord. On April 30, 2011, she was elected President of the Cameroon People's Party (CPP) at an extraordinary congress of the CPP party . Your campaign in the presidential election bears the slogan: "The Time Is Now!".

She is also politically active as a member of the city council of the 1st district of Duala.

The Tea Party of Cameroon, a movement advocating for underprivileged and marginalized sections of the population, is led by her. She also holds the presidency of the grassroots civil rights initiative Cameroon Ô'Bosso ( Duala ) (in German: Forward Cameroon ). For her commitment, Kah Walla received the 2011 Global Leadership Award from Vital Voices , an initiative by Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright .

Kah Walla runs a consulting company in Duala . Her economic competence was also recognized by the World Bank when she took part in the 2008 WBG Spring Meeting under the direction of Robert Zoellick as one of three African entrepreneurs and was mentioned as one of seven African entrepreneurs in the business report Doing Business: Women in Africa .
