Kai Abraham
Kai Abraham (born March 28, 1967 in East Berlin ) is a former German-Austrian badminton player .
He learned to play badminton in East Berlin at the Empor Brandenburger Tor club there under the wing of his father Hans Abraham , who was also a successful badminton player. Kai Abraham won 17 titles at the GDR youth championships in badminton . With the adults, however, it was difficult for him to get past the top players from Greifswald, especially his long-time double partner Thomas Mundt . At the GDR championships in 1987, however, he managed to leave all opponents behind. In 1992 he won two titles with Malta International . He then moved to Austria and won the double and mixed title there in 1995 and again the double title with Heimo Götschl in 1998 .
