Kaido Kaaberma

Kaido Kaaberma (born November 18, 1968 in Haapsalu ) is an Estonian sword fencer .

In 1991 Kaaberma became team world champion in Budapest . At the 1992 Olympic Games he took fourth place in the epee singles, at the 1996 Olympic Games with the epee team it was fifth and in singles the seventh place.

Kaaberma achieved his greatest success at the 1999 World Fencing Championships . He won the bronze medal in the epee individual competition. He was able to fight for another medal with the Estonian epee team in 2001, when they were only defeated in the final of the World Championships by Hungary .

In 1997 Kaaberma won silver at the European Championships in Gdansk, and in 2000 he succeeded again at the European Championships in Madeira . In 2001 he won bronze in the epee singles at the European Championships in Koblenz .

Kaaberma won eight Estonian championship titles in epee fencing between 1988 and 2005.
