The Kaiser-Wilhelm-Hain in Wuppertal - Elberfeld is a forest area on the Dorrenberg . It was founded in 1896 by King James Verschönerungsverein like a park with paths and cared for. It is named after Wilhelm I , who was German Emperor from 1871 to 1888 .

After the association was dissolved, the forest became the property of the city of Wuppertal. The area shrank in the course of time due to buildings and the creation of allotment gardens on the southern slopes, so that the forest today has an area of around 11.7 hectares.

It borders on Hainstraße to the west and Eschenbeeker Straße , which is named after the Eschenbeek , to the north . The Eschenbeek flows in the east at the foot of the hilltop (Dorrenberg) on which the grove lies. In the south, along three deeper notch valleys, there is not only the allotment gardens but also the main station of the Wuppertal fire brigade .
