Imperial Palace Dornburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elements that indicate the farmyard of an imperial palace were most likely found during the preparation of new building areas in the corridor of the old city on the northwest corner of today's urban area of Dornburg (Thuringia) in the Saale-Holzland district at the transition to the Feldmark . So far it has not been possible to prove the elements of the nuclear installation.

The presence of the Saxon emperors in Dornburg has been proven fourteen times from 977 onwards. Only the location of the Palatinate was previously unclear, because the documents were burned with a church fire in 971.

You looked in vain near today's market and the old castle . Although settlement finds were found in the corridor of the old city in the past , the evidence was only found in 2006.

Cellars and house pits, ovens, four ovens, stone balls, a sickle and a large-scale protective ditch , possibly around a territory , were found.

This suburban settlement was abandoned at the beginning of the 13th century. During this time, today's city was founded.
