The imperial bollard railing was a listed railing of a bank fortification in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It was located on the west side of Turmschanzenstrasse on the banks of the Old Elbe in the Brückfeld district . The historic bank fortification consisted of a cast iron railing that stood up on the bank wall. The individual pillars of the railing were connected to each other by three struts.

When the Elbe floods in 2013 , the water rose so high that the area of the railing had to be secured with a sandbag dam to prevent the Brückfeld district from being flooded. After the flood, the flood protection measures in the area were changed and a flood protection wall was built. The imperial bollard railing was demolished in 2015.

In the local register of monuments , the railing was recorded as a bank reinforcement under registration number 094 71335 as a monument . The railing was removed from the list of monuments in 2015.
