CNN

On June 15, 2017, it was announced that Jeff Zucker had brought her to CNN.

Since then she has also worked for CNN as a White House correspondent. Among other things, she traveled to Asia to report on Donald Trump's visit abroad.

Controversy with the White House

In July 2018, the White House explicitly dumped her to participate in press conferences because she had asked "inappropriate" questions. The White House put it this way:

"(Kaitlan Collins) shouted questions and refused to leave despite repeatedly being asked to do so."

"(Kaitlan Collins) called questions into the room and refused to leave, even after being asked several times."

Kaitlan Collins was doing a pool reporter role at the time , asking questions for a whole group of journalists. All American news agencies (including FOX News ) showed their solidarity with her and referred to her duty as a journalist and the freedom of the press .

The White House announced that Collins was disfellowshipped for her behavior, not her questions. Collins asked if the President felt betrayed by Michael Cohen . The White House refused to use the word "banned" for its own conduct towards Collins. These remarks came shortly after a public debate about politeness in dealings with one another and, in particular, the way the White House deals with the press and freedom of the press (ongoing).

Homophobic expressions

On October 7, 2018, Collins apologized for any homophobic comments she made to friends on Twitter while she was in college . These were previously published by the Log Cabin Republicans .
