The Beselich-Obertiefenbach volunteer fire brigade consists of an emergency department , a youth fire brigade (JF), a children's fire brigade ( KF) and an honor and age department , all of which are public law. Together with the sponsoring members, they are also organized under private law in the fire service association of the same name . The Beselich-Obertiefenbach (FF) volunteer fire brigade has to take the measures necessary according to its dutiful discretion within the framework of the applicable laws in order to prevent the general public, individuals or animals from being threatened by fires , explosions , accidents or other emergencies, in particular by damaging natural events Avoiding dangers to life, health, natural resources or things on a purely voluntary basis . The Obertiefenbach fire brigade is a member of the District Fire Brigade Association (KFV) Limburg-Weilburg , which was founded in September 1975 in this place. The KFV is a member of the Nassau Fire Brigade Association (NFV) in Wiesbaden and the State Fire Brigade Association of Hesse (LFV Hessen) based in Kassel .
International successes and encounters
The FF Beselich-Obertiefenbach participated three times in a fire brigade Olympiad of the fire brigade world association CTIF . These major events, which take place every four years, resulted in intensive encounters with fire fighters on an international level (e.g. Austria , Poland , former GDR ), which are still maintained. history
The voluntary fire brigade Obertiefenbach was founded in 1880 in addition to an existing compulsory fire brigade on the initiative of Mayor Johannes Schmitt, who also became the first commandant. The first motorized fire engine was purchased in 1958. In September 1977 a new fire station with four vehicle boxes and a training room went into operation. The fleet expanded in 1986 and 2005 through the provision of a tank fire truck TLF 16/25 and a assistance Löschgruppenfahrzeugs HLF 20, as well as the purchase of a crew transport vehicle MTF.
