The Hessentag 1993 was the 33rd Hessentag and found with the slogan solemnly from 9 to 18 July 1993 in the central Hessian town Lich instead.

The Hessentag was opened by Prime Minister Hans Eichel (SPD) and Mayor Ludwig Seiboldt (CDU). Christine Jachimsky and Michael Noll formed the Hessentag couple.

In addition to the pageant, the program also included the largest state exhibition to date (area: 12,000 m²), balloon rides, the appearance of the Munich Laughing and Shooting Society and roundtables on extremism and violence against minorities. Performed artists included u. a. Konstantin Wecker , Shakin 'Stevens , Middle of the Road , The Seekers , die Münchener Freiheit , the Puhdys , Joy Fleming , Paul Kuhn as well as the Rodgau Monotones and Inner Circle . On July 17th, 1993 the first hr3 Clubnight took place with the disk jockeys Sven Väth , DJ Dag and Torsten Fenslau . Before that, on July 9, 1993, a team from Hessen and the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund split 1: 5 in a friendly match at the Fasanerie sports center. In total, around 860,000 visitors were counted at over 450 individual events over the 10 days, both of which were more than ever before.

The peculiarity of the parade was the participation of the world champion in the fire-fighting attack of the Beselich-Obertiefenbach volunteer fire brigade, who had been chosen the day before at the Xth International Fire Brigade Sports Competition of the World Fire Brigade Association CTIF in Berlin .
