The Hessentag 1967 was the 7th Hessentag and took place from June 30th to July 2nd, 1967 in Bad Hersfeld .

Since 1961, the Hessentage, initiated by the state government and carried out jointly with the respective municipality, has been taking place in different locations in Hesse. In the period from three (1967) to ten (2019) days, the country presents itself to visitors with cultural displays and exhibitions. Large open-air concerts with the participation of well-known national and international artists also take place on the occasion of the Hessentage . The Hessian state festival is a nationally recognized and important major event that attracts many hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

The Hessentag 2019 will also take place in Bad Hersfeld.

The Hessentag 1967

Around 150,000 visitors were counted at the Hessentag 1967. At that time Bad Hersfeld was on the edge of the zone . The motto of the Hessentag was "Understanding". The then Prime Minister Georg August Zinn opened the exhibition on the “ Great Hessen Plan ”, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra opened the Hessentag musically with the performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana .

Important events in the context of the Hessentag were: The club championships of the stenographers , the "Open Day" of the Federal Border Guard , performances of the German master in motor aerobatics Herbert Greb and the final fireworks in the colors of the federal government, the state and the city of Bad Hersfeld.
