Ludwig Seiboldt

Ludwig Seiboldt (born November 14, 1941 in Nieder-Eschbach ; † January 23, 2008 in Lich ) was a German agricultural engineer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, Seiboldt first completed an agricultural training course, which he completed in 1960 with the assistant test. From 1958 to 1960 he attended the Agricultural College in Friedberg and 1961/62 the Higher Agricultural School in Michelstadt . In 1962 he graduated as a qualified agricultural engineer. Ludwig Seiboldt was married and had two children.

Seiboldt worked from 1963 to 1966 as a clerk in the public service. From 1966 to 1977 he worked as a project manager and research assistant for agricultural development tasks in southern Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1977 he joined the Federal Office for Food and Forestry as an administrative employee .

Ludwig Seiboldt died on January 23, 2008 after a long illness.

politics

Seiboldt joined the Junge Union in 1961 and was JU district chairman in Friedberg from 1963 to 1970. Since 1963 he was a member of the CDU. From 1970 to 1972 he was deputy district chairman of the CDU.

In terms of local politics, he was active as chairman of the Nieder-Eschbach local council and a member of the Frankfurt regional association .

Seiboldt belonged to the Hessian state parliament from March 22, 1979, when he replaced the resigned MP Karl-Heinrich Trageser , until 1983. In 1983 he ran again for the state parliament in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main VI , but lost the constituency to the Social Democrat Fred Gebhardt . From 1985 he was a member of the district council of the Gießen district .

Seiboldt was mayor of Lich for 24 years from January 16, 1984 until his death on January 23, 2008.

Honors

Ludwig Seiboldt received the Hessian Order of Merit 9 days before his death on January 14, 2008 .
