Karl-Heinrich Trageser

Karl-Heinrich Trageser , also Karl-Heinz (born February 2, 1932 in Frankfurt am Main ; † March 3, 2009 ibid) was a German politician ( CDU ).

After attending primary school, Trageser completed an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic from 1947 to 1950, completed his apprenticeship with the skilled worker examination and then worked as a technical clerk in Frankfurt am Main at Voigt & Haeffner AG . He has been a member of the works council since 1957. In 1960 he took up a position as social secretary for the Christian Democratic workforce in Hesse . In 1967 he accepted a position as an employee at the Institute for Christian Social Workers for Political Education. In 1970 he became District Secretary for the Catholic Workers' Movement in the Diocese of Limburg .

Trageser was a member of the CDU from 1957. From 1989 to 1992 he was district chairman of the CDU Frankfurt / Main. He was a member of the Hessian state parliament for constituency 37 Frankfurt am Main VI in the northern suburbs in the east from 1966 to 1979 , where he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1973 to 1978 and chairman of the social policy committee from 1975 to 1978. From February 22, 1979 to 1987, Trageser was the department head for social affairs, youth and housing for the city of Frankfurt am Main. From April 24, 1987 to April 5, 1991 he served as Hessian Minister of Social Affairs in the state government led by Prime Minister Walter Wallmann .
