Ilse Stiewitt (born January 7, 1943 in Schöningen ) is a German social economist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Stiewitt initially worked as an engineering assistant at Siemens AG and from 1966 to 1971 worked as a social economist in Göttingen . From 1972 to 1984 she was an advisor to Duisburg's senior city directors Ernst Caumanns and Herbert Krämer , where she also acted as head of department and then until 1987 was an advisor to the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Environment in Düsseldorf .
