Lutz Klein

Lutz Hans Klein (* the 30th October 1943 in Breitscheid ) is a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and was 2003-2009 President of the Government of the governmental district Kassel .

education and profession

After attending the Kettwig-Mintard elementary school (1950–1958), Klein completed an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic and worked as a precision mechanic at the AEG factory in Heiligenhaus and at Calor-Emag in Ratingen until 1963. From 1963 to 1971 he worked as a police officer for the Federal Border Police (BGS)

At the same time, he attended the BGS technical school and evening grammar school / evening school in Kassel and from 1970 to 1975 training for high-level administrative services and work in the transport department of the regional president in Kassel.

Klein was mayor of the city of Battenberg (Eder) for almost 20 years (from 1975 to 1996) and then from 1996 to 2003 he was the first alderman and treasurer of the State Welfare Association of Hesse .

From May 1, 2003 to May 20, 2009 he was President of the Government District of Kassel.

Lutz Klein is married and has two children.
