Lustrate

Lüstrieren is in the textile industry inserted finishing processes , which yarn threads imparts a smooth, glossy surface. Luster consists of coating the thread with paraffin , dextrin or a rubber solution that holds the fibers down. Treatment with steel rollers and brushes produces an increased gloss. The luster process is used, for example, in the production of iron yarn .
