Kaj Stenvall

Kaj Kristian Stenvall (born December 25, 1951 in Tampere ) is a Finnish artist. He became internationally known when he began to paint a "familiar-looking duck" in 1989. Many compare his ducks to Donald Duck . Stenvall claims to have created the character himself, while admitting the resemblance to the world's most famous duck. His pictures are also printed on postcards and posters . He has also become known through postcrossing , as his postcards are sent internationally by Finnish postcrossers and are also popular outside of Finland.

Stenvall completed an art education in Turun taideyhdistyksen piirustuskoulu / Åbo ritskola ( Turku , Finland) between 1971 and 1974. He has a gallery in Helsinki .
