The Kalanag (other spelling: Kala Nag ; alternative name: Black Peak English for "black peak") is a 6387 m high mountain in the Indian state of Uttarakhand in the western Garhwal Himalayas .
The mountain is located in the Uttarkashi district on the eastern side of the Bandarpunch Glacier , which flows north to Ruinsara Gad . The Bandarpunch (6316 m) is located 3.2 km south-southwest .
The Kalanag was first climbed in 1955 by JMT Gibson on the northwest flank.
