Callaischros
Kallaischros ( Greek Κάλλαισχρος ; * around 490 BC in Athens ) was the father of the important oligarchic politician Critias (in the research literature "Critias IV") and uncle of the politician Charmides, who also belonged to the oligarchic camp . Kallaischros' father was Kritias (" Kritias III. "), A descendant of the Athenian archons "Dropides I" (term of office 645/644) and "Dropides II" (term of office probably 593/592). It is unclear whether this Kallaischros is identical with the politician of the same name who was born in 411 BC. Was a member of the oligarchical council of the four hundred . Research questions whether Critias' father could still play an important political role at such an advanced age.
