The Kallipatira Stadium ( Greek Δημοτικό Στάδιο Ρόδου «Καλλιπάτειρα» ) is a barrier-free stadium on the Greek island of Rhodes , about three kilometers from the center of the city of Rhodes and is located in the Kallipatira sports center . It is named after Kallipatira , a daughter of the Olympian Diagoras from Rhodes, who, according to tradition, was one of two married women who attended the ancient Olympic Games , although married women were forbidden to attend and watch the Olympic Games on the death penalty.

The stadium was one of the training camps for the 2004 Paralympics . From 2005 to 2006 it was completely renovated.

The barrier-free facility has eight circular and eight sprint lanes with a grandstand that offers 2,000 seats. An 85 m long training hall with four running lanes and a long jump pit as well as a gymnastics and weight room, sickroom, sanitary, service and office rooms are integrated in the grandstand. In the southern area there are the facilities for the throwing disciplines and to the east there is a 5-lane sprint course for training purposes. Around the stadium and in the facility there is a 1000 m long asphalt track for long distance disciplines. There are also 400 parking spaces.

In the vicinity of the complex there are hotels of all categories, restaurants, shops, a traditional village, the beach and attractions.
