Kalman Apple (* 20th century ) is a film director , film producer and screenwriter for short films .

Career

Kalman Apple's film career began in 2000 with the short film Speed ​​for Thespians . He wrote the script, was responsible as a producer and made his directorial debut at the same time. For this short film, he and Shameela Bakhsh received an Oscar nomination at the 2002 Academy Awards in the Best Short Film category . Appel received the Jury Award at the Long Beach International Film Festival in Pasadena and the award for Best Short Film at the Stony Brook Film Festival. Other short films were Bad Wolf , which was released in 2012, and A Day in the Country , which was released the following year.
