Shameela Bakhsh
Shameela Bakhsh (* 1971 in Jersey City ) is an American film producer and screenwriter who has so far contributed to the making of two short films.
The first film she co-produced, Speed for Thespians , premiered in 2000 and was nominated for an Oscar in 2002 in the Best Short Film category. She also wrote the script for the second film she produced, A Day in the Country .
Her first name Shameela , which also exists in the spelling Shameelah , is of Arabic - Muslim origin and describes a young shoot, a bud .
