Cold mixing plant

The cold mixing plant is a construction machine and is mainly used in the field of traffic route construction for the production of a hydraulically bound base course and for cold recycling .

This process is also known as the central mixing process. The advantage here is that, for example, asphalt milled material does not have to be transported over long distances to mixing plants or storage / disposal sites.

Another advantage is the high flexibility of the system, as it has a comparatively small footprint and is ready for use within a very short time. The system is transported using a standard tractor unit. The cold mixing plant shown here is designed for the production of mixes of up to 200 tons per hour.

The material to be processed is fed into the feeder using a wheel loader . The binding agent - usually cement - is supplied via a screw conveyor from the standing silo and the required water via a C connection. In the mixing room, all substances are mixed homogeneously by the compulsory mixer. The finished mixture is then loaded directly onto trucks via a loading conveyor. Alternatively, it can also be mixed on the stockpile.
