Tshelpa-Kagyu
The Tshelpa Kagyu ( Tib . Tshal pa bka 'brgyud ) is one of the four major schools of the Kagyu -Schulrichtung ( Barom- , Karma , Phagdru- and Tshelpa Kagyu) of Tibetan Buddhism , which in turn into four main schools ( Nyingma , Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug ). It was founded by Lama Shang ( bla ma zhang or zhang g.yu brag pa brtson 'gru brags pa ; 1123–1193), a student of Dagpo Gomtshül (1116–1169) and is named after its founding monastery, which he founded in 1175 Tshelpa Monastery , named. Dungthso Repa belonged to this school.
