Camel Abu Jaber

Kamel Salih Abu Jaber (alternative spelling: Kamil Salih Abu Jabir , Arabic كامل صالح أبو جابر, DMG Kāmil Ṣāliḥ Abū Ǧābir ; * 1932 in Amman , Transjordan ) was a Jordanian politician and writer .

Life

Kamel Abu Jaber was briefly Minister of Economic Affairs in 1973. In 1991 he replaced Abdullah Ensour as Foreign Minister of Jordan and held this post in the second cabinet of Prime Minister Zaid ibn Shaker until 1993, when he was succeeded by the new Prime Minister Abdelsalam al-Majali .

In addition to his political career, Abu Jaber also wrote several specialist books on historical and political topics and also worked for the Mumbai- based think tank Strategic Foresight Group (SFG).
