Came Petkov

Kamen Marinow Petkow (also written Kamen Marinov Petkov , Bulgarian Камен Маринов Петков ; born July 17, 1977 in Sofia ) is an independent Bulgarian politician and member of the 41st Bulgarian Parliament (2009–). In addition to Bulgarian, he also speaks English, Spanish, Italian and Russian. His father is Marin Petkow and worked as a former Bulgarian consul in Italy and in the Bulgarian intelligence service.

Life

Kamen Petkow studied international relations at the University of National and World Economy .

In the parliamentary elections in 2009 Petkov won the “25th place as an independent candidate”. Constituency ”in Sofia. He was supported by the Ataka party . Since 2009 he has been a member of the 41st Narodno Sabranie . Petkow is chairman of the Bulgaria- Moldova parliamentary group of the Bulgarian National Assembly. On December 10, 2010, Petkov resigned from the Ataka party parliamentary group because he did not agree with the Ataka's policy of unconditional support for the government of Boyko Borisov . He was never a member of the party.

Petkov was the only member of his parliamentary group to abstain during the October 2010 vote of no confidence against Borisov. After leaving the party, 20 members of parliament are represented. At the beginning of 2011, he had not supported the party in the impeachment proceedings against Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov on the grounds that he was abroad. According to the Bulgarian newspaper Monitor , he is said to have pledged his support for the NDSW party , which is not represented in parliament.
