The Saulgau camera office was an institution of the Kingdom of Württemberg , which administered property and income of the state in the administrative district. It existed in Saulgau from 1872 to 1922 . The camera office was created as part of the reorganization of the state finance administration in the Kingdom of Württemberg.

According to the State Handbook from 1809/10, there was a camera office in Altshausen from 1806 to 1811 with the sub-office of Saulgau and Mengen.
