Kamlo Barré

Pierre "Kamlo" Barré (* 1968 in Nantes ) is a French jazz guitarist who introduced oriental elements to jazz manouche .

Barré, who spent part of his childhood and youth in Lebanon , the Maghreb and Spain, lived again from the age of 19 in France, where he devoted himself to the music of Django Reinhardt . First he played as a rhythm guitarist with Jean-Philippe Watremez, with whom he also recorded and went on tour as a duo. He also worked for Patrick Saussois . In 1997 he joined Jean-François Ruiz and played with the group Latcho Drom . Then he founded his Kamlo Trio , with whom he has recorded several albums since 1999. He can also be heard on albums by Paul-Marie Barbier, Am Ketenes and Patrick Saussois.
