Chamber Opera Leipzig
The Chamber Opera Leipzig e. V. was founded in 2009 as the first Saxon touring theater by Katharina Wingen . The touring theater ensemble of the Leipzig Chamber Opera has performed at theaters , operas and in concert halls as well as at music festivals in Germany .
Emergence
Katharina Wingen is the founder and director of the Leipzig Chamber Opera. Born in Bonn, she studied a. a. with Kammersängerin Edda Moser and graduated in singing. She is a master class student of the chamber singer Rachel Yakar . She has been a freelance soprano since 1999 .

The Leipzig Chamber Opera offers opera programs , concert and opera pasticcios as well as programs for children and young people:

- “Murder in the Prima Donnell Lodge” - an opera thriller by Katharina Wingen
- " Martha Mödl - That was her way" - homage to the great Wagner diva on the occasion of her 100th birthday

The hallmarks of the Leipzig Chamber Opera include opera and concert pastries. These represent a liaison between opera and theater play. Opera arias are integrated into a specially written play .
