Chamber orchestra Šiauliai
The Šiauliai Chamber Orchestra is a chamber orchestra founded in 1989 in the Lithuanian city of Šiauliai . The members played in the previous people's symphony orchestra (lit. Liaudies simfoninis orkestras ). The majority of musicians teach in the Šiauliai Conservatory and in the music schools of Šiauliai and Šiauliai District .
The orchestra plays in Lithuania and abroad (Germany, Italy, Poland). It works together with Lithuanian choirs, with Lithuanian and foreign soloists and conductors (from Germany: cellist David Geringas , conductor G. Mais, pianist I. Gabbe, pianist and conductor L. Dorfman). Among the conductors were J. Domarkas, Saulius Sondeckis , Robertas Šervenikas , Modestas Pitrėnas , V. Viržinis, G. Skėrytė, A. Krikščiūnaitė, E. Kaniava, A. Janutas.
