Robertas Šervenikas

Robertas Šervenikas (* 1966 ) is a Lithuanian conductor .

Life

In 1995 Robertas Šervenikas graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory with T. Chitrova and Prof. V. Fedotov. Since 1993 he has been working with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra in Vilnius and is now its second conductor. From 1997 he was repeatedly invited to the Evian Festival ( France ), where he led the Philharmonic of Nations and the Orchestra Synfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi with Mstislaw Leopoldowitsch Rostropowitsch as soloist.

Since then, Šervenikas has conducted the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra on tours to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia. He is the guest conductor of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra , the Šiauliai Chamber Orchestra and the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra and conducts the Bavarian State Orchestra in performances at the Bavarian State Ballet . In 2008, Šervenikas was appointed music director of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater (LNOBT). He teaches at the Music and Theater Academy of Lithuania .
