The Kamptalwarte is a 21 meter high observation tower at 351 m above sea level on the Heiligenstein in the area of ​​the cadastral community of Zöbing am Kamp in the Krems-Land district in Lower Austria .

The Kamptalwarte observation tower was built in 1897 in neo-Gothic style by the Langenlois section of the Austrian Tourist Club, founded in 1890, shortly after the touristic development of the Kamptal began, which began with the opening of the Kamptalbahn in 1889 . It is located on the Heiligenstein, an extension of the Manhartsberg east of Langenlois in the local area of ​​Zöbing , which is considered to be one of the best Riesling sites in Europe. It provides a view of the Kamptal wine-growing region, the Danube valley and, in good weather, up to the Ötscher .

The Kamptalwarte is still owned by the Austrian Tourist Club, which carried out extensive renovations in 1913, 1951 and in the 1980s. In 2002, a small solar and wind power system was installed to illuminate the control room at night.

The Kamptalwarte is accessible on Sundays and public holidays between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Outside this time, the key to the tower can be borrowed from various restaurants in Zöbing, Langenlois and Straß in the Straßertal valley.
