Am Kaneda

Bin Kaneda ( Japanese 兼 田 敏 , Kaneda Bin , born September 9, 1935 in Shinkyō , Manchukuo (today: Changchun , People's Republic of China ); † May 19, 2002 ) was a Japanese composer and professor .

He completed his music studies at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music , graduating with a diploma in composition in 1959. Kaneda worked as a teacher at various universities. In 1980 he became Professor of Music Education at Gifu University , 1983 Professor of Composition at Aichi Prefecture University of Fine Arts and Music , 1996 Professor of Music for Graduate Education at Gifu University and in 1999 Professor emeritus at Aichi Prefecture University of Fine Arts and Music .

Bin Kaneda wrote the music for the opening of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and two marches for Expo '70 . He is also the composer of many compulsory pieces for the wind orchestra competitions in Japan.
