Kanethos (son of Abas)
Kanethos ( Greek Κάνηθος ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
In the Argonautica of Apollonios of Rhodes , Kanethos was a son of the Argive king Abas , who also ruled over Euboea . The Euboean mountain Kanethos , which belongs to the city of Chalkis, was named after him. His son Kanthos was one of the Argonauts and came from Euboea to the crew of the legendary Argo .
