Kanethos (father of Skiron)
Kanethos ( Greek Κάνηθος ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
According to Plutarch in his biography of Theseus , the only source, Kanethos was the consort of Henioche , a daughter of Pittheus . Together they had the son of the highwayman and robber Skiron , with Plutarch specifying that, in the opinion of other people, Sinis was the son. Although so prominently introduced by Plutarch and associated with the founding of the Isthmian Games , there is no further evidence of this Kanethos.
