Kang Yatze

The Kang Yatze is a 6400  m high mountain in the Indian Himalayas , which is in the Union Territory of Ladakh .

The mountain lies at the end of the Markha Valley , which it splits into the Nimaling Chu ( Chu is Ladakhi for "water") and Langtan Chan .

The main summit of Kang Yatze is very rarely climbed due to its technically difficult normal route. The Kang Yatze West (also called "shoulder" or Kang Yatze II ) is about 6200  m high and is very often climbed. The ascent is a good way to end the Markha Valley Trek , the most famous trekking tour in Ladakh.
