Kangkong

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kangkong ( trad. Chin .: 康 鞏 / ver. Chin .: 康 巩; Hokkien Pe̍h-ōe-jī: khangkióng / Standard Chinese Pinyin : kānggǒng) is now a neighborhood in the Barangay Apolonio Samson of Quezon City and is located nearby from Balintawak .

For many people in Luzón , the place is of the greatest importance, because the Sigaw sa Pugad Lawin ( trad. Bay .: ᜐᜒᜄᜓᜐᜉᜓᜄᜎᜏᜒ / col . Bay .: ᜐᜒᜄᜏ᜔ᜐᜉᜓᜄᜇ᜔ᜎᜏᜒᜈ᜔), in German the scream of the falcon's nest , took place in Kangkong . On August 23, 1886, Andrés Bonifacio , together with his followers of the Katipunan ( trad. Bay .: ᜃᜆᜒᜉᜓᜈ / col. Bay .: ᜃᜆᜒᜉᜓᜈᜈ᜔), publicly called for a revolution, and they then tore up their cédula , the Spanish identity cards of that time. With this act the revolution against the Spanish colonial power began.
