Canoe Racing World Championships 2018 - C-1 200 m (men)

The competition in the men's single canoe over the 200 meters was held at the 2018 Canoe Racing World Championships on August 25 and 26, 2018. The venue for the race was the Centro de Alto Rendimento in the Portuguese municipality of Montemor-o-Velho .

While there was no athlete at the start for Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein, the 2016 Olympian on this route, Stefan Kiraj , started for Germany and was fifth and missed a medal. The gold medal went to the Belarusian Arzjom Kosyr , who won the world title for the third time in a row on this route. Behind him, the Russian Ivan Schtyl won silver and the Lithuanian Henrikas Žustautas bronze.

The two preliminary runs were held on August 25, 2018. The two preliminary runs were scheduled for 3:25 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Western European Summer Time . The three fastest boats in each of the two heats qualified directly for the final. The other four fastest and the fastest ninth qualified for the semi-finals.
