Cape Demidow is a cape on the south coast of South Georgia . It is on the south side of the entrance to Wilson Harbor near the western end of the island.
The cape was discovered in 1819 during the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819–1821) led by Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen . It is named after Dmitri Demidow, lieutenant on the corvette Vostok on this research trip.
