Cape Freeman is a cape that forms the northern end of Sturge Island in the archipelago of the East Antarctic Balleny Islands .
It is named after Thomas Freeman († 1839), who, as the skipper of the Sabrina, discovered the Balleny Islands together with John Balleny in February 1839 and died when the ship went down in a storm on March 24, 1839.
