Cape Roquemaurel is a prominent and rocky headland in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . The cape is located on the east side of Bone Bay in the north of the Trinity Peninsula .
It was discovered during the Third French Antarctic Expedition (1837-1840) under the direction of Jules Dumont d'Urville . It is named after Gaston de Roquemaurel (1804–1878), deputy commander on d'Urville's expedition ship Astrolabe .
