The Kapellenklippe is located near the Glashüttenweg on Renneckenberg in the Hochharz in the area of ​​the city of Wernigerode . The cliff is very remote in the Harz National Park and can only be reached via unmarked paths. A ranger is recommended for the visit. The top of the cliff reaches a height of 927 m above sea level. NN and looks like a bell. The cliff is a popular destination for mountaineers. From its summit you have a view of the Brocken . The cliff is almost completely overgrown with conifers and only protrudes a meter above the treetops.
