Kaplaneikirche Gries in the Sulztal
The Kaplaneikirche Gries im Sulztal is located in Gries im Sulztal in the municipality of Längenfeld in the Ötztal in the state of Tyrol . The Roman Catholic chaplain church, consecrated on the feast of Maria Hilf , belongs to the Silz deanery in the diocese of Innsbruck . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
The church was built in 1655 by the builder Georg Keil. The church was enlarged in 1703 and the tower was raised in 1724. In 1927 there was a restoration.
architecture
The baroque church is surrounded by a cemetery.
The west side of the north-facing church has buttresses, the choir closes polygonally, the tower in the north has round-arched sound windows, an octagonal structure with oval windows, it wears an onion helmet.
The interior of the church shows a three-bay nave with an apse with a five-eighth closure under lancet barrel vaults on an early baroque pilaster structure. The sparse stucco as bandwork was created in 1927. The vault paintings Trinity , Visitation of the Virgin Mary and the Four Evangelists were created by the painter Josef Anton Puellacher in 1792.
Furnishing
The high altar from 1703 was changed in 1927, it shows the high altar picture Mariahilf , a copy of the Maria-Hilf picture by Lucas Cranach , which was the goal of a pilgrimage to Mary, and bears the statues Ingenuin and Albuin . The antependium shows the Visitation from the middle of the 18th century. The baroque side altar was consecrated in 1776 and shows the altar sheet Johannes Nepomuk as intercessor. The rococo tabernacle rests on the antependium with the relief of the lintel of the bridge of Johannes Nepomuk. Most of the votive pictures are from the 19th century, one votive picture mentions 1793.
Bartlme Graßmayr name the three bells 1697, 1777 and 1778.
