KAPUTT (exact title: KAPUTT - Das Mazagin for suppressed joie de vivre ) was a German satirical magazine that was published by Condor Verlag from 1975 to 1982 .

The magazine initially cost DM 2.00  , with the 32nd edition the price was increased to DM 2.50. The cover was printed in color on the back and front, the rest of the booklet was illustrated in two colors. The issues of the US magazine CRACKED , which first appeared in 1958 and was discontinued in 2007, served as a template . In terms of content and presentation, KAPUTT was conceived as a direct competitor to the magazine MAD .

A typical gag was the invitation to take out a subscription in every issue:

“This booklet is in great demand. Every week the garbage collector comes and asks about it. So subscribe now so you don't have to hunt for it in the dump. Then you calculate the total price with the help of intelligent friends and transfer it to account no. [Bank account number]. You will soon receive the latest KAPUTT regularly (if you are lucky). "
