Karadeniz Powership Orhan Bey
The Karadeniz Powership Orhan Bey is a power station ship from the Turkish company Karpowership . The ship is equipped with diesel generators with an output of 200 MW.
history
The Sedef shipyard in Tuzla, Istanbul , received the order to build a power station ship from Karadeniz Holding, Karadeniz Powership Co., Istanbul, Turkey . It was supposed to supply the power grid in Lebanon with electricity. The delivery took place in July 2013 and on August 12 the Karadeniz Powership Orhan Bey arrived in Beirut . It was connected to the shore-side electrical grid on September 3, 2013 and supplies Lebanon with electrical energy. The ship is part of a fleet of Karadeniz-operated ships that started international power plant ship business in 2007.
The Karadeniz Powership Orhan Bey was equipped with eleven diesel generators and four power transformers . The power station ship thus has an installed capacity of around 200 MW . The diesel engines of type MAN 18V51 / 60G DF can be operated with gas or diesel oil. The tank capacity of the power plant ship is sufficient for ten days of operation at nominal load.
