The Karasis is a mountain in the foothills of the eastern Taurus Mountains , on the northern edge of the Çukurova near Kozan in the Adana Province ( Turkey ). He became famous through the discovery of a strongly fortified and well-preserved ancient fortress on the ridge of the mountain .
