Karel Dodal
Karel Dodal (born January 28, 1900 in Prague , † July 6, 1986 in Fort Lee , New Jersey ) was one of the first animated film directors in Czechoslovakia .
Life
From 1925 to 1929 he shot the first cartoons in the Elekta Journal in Prague. In 1933 he and Irena Leschner (from 1935 Dodalová) founded the first studio for animated films "Ire-film" in Prague.

His early works include the two films The Game of Soap Bubbles (1936; 2 min) and The Idea Seeks Light (1938; 10 min), for which he worked with Irena Dodalová . During World War II (1943) he worked as an animator on the US training film Flying the P-39 by Norman Mathews , which explained how to use the P-39 Airacobra .
