Karin Gayer

Karin Gayer (* 1969 in Mödling near Vienna ) is an Austrian writer . She is the author of poetry and prose.

Life

Karin Gayer was born in Mödling in May 1969. Today she lives in Vienna. She dropped out of psychology studies after completing the first part of the course because, in her own words, she “could not find the deeper knowledge and connections that she was looking for”. She is a trained publishing assistant and freelance editor. While still at school she was active as a writer. There were publications in literary magazines, in anthologies and on the radio. In 2002 her first independent book was published by Arovell Verlag . Your characters are often outsiders who question the conventional. Her topics revolve around self-awareness and the knowledge of others between melancholy and subtle irony.
