Karin Polenz (* 1962 in Wanne-Eickel ) is a German artist (sculpture and drawings).

Active in the visual arts since 1982, it was shaped by Joseph Beuys , in the area of ​​sculptural design by Bruno Unkhoff and in the intellectual implementation by the artist EL SOKO . From 1986 to 2001 she worked in the department of the virtual computer world in the computing center of the University of Oldenburg . There she began developing her own technology for realizing works of art on a virtual level. In 1992 she began to use the medium of photography artistically.
The participation in an archaeological textbook by Rolf Bärenfänger from 1990 to 1993 on the Plytenberg in Leer enabled her to gain extensive impressions in this area. In 2001 she returned to the art scene with a series of works - Perspektive Gegenwart plus - in the gallery in the house in Hamburg. Publication of the series of works - Civilization - 2002. This was followed by the management of an art project in the Museum Leer and a first solo exhibition in the Böke Museum . She received the appointment to the - Karl Ludwig Böke Society eV -. In 2003 she took part in the art mile in Leer and in 2004 in the kunst altonale in Hamburg.
