Karin Sarantis-Aridas
Karin Sarantis-Aridas (born March 24, 1941 in Berlin ) is a former politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001 and again from 2004 to 2006 .

biography
After graduating from high school in 1961, Karin Sarantis-Aridas studied art history at Humboldt University until 1966 . She then worked as a publishing editor until 1993.
politics
At the time of the political change in the GDR, she joined the newly founded SDP . For the SPD, she was a member of the Friedrichshain District Assembly from 1990 to 1999 , temporarily as parliamentary group leader. She was then elected to the House of Representatives, to which she initially belonged until 2001 and later as a replacement for the resigned Senator Peter Strieder again from April 2004 to 2006.
