Karin Schrödl

Karin Schrödl (born June 14, 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2005 to 2012 she was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

Karin Schrödl attended elementary school between 1970 and 1974 and a secondary school until 1978. After completing the polytechnic course in 1979, she worked at the remote office in Vienna until 1981. She then worked for the Donaustadt Cultural Association from 1982 to 1985 and moved to the Municipal District Office of Vienna 22 in 1986.Since 1987, she has worked for the Pension Insurance Institution (PVA) as an international clerk, deputy group leader and advisor in the pension, care allowance and support committee.

Karin Schrödl has been with the SPÖ since 1992 and was a works council member of the PVA between 1992 and 2004. She has headed Section 11 - Kaisermühlen in the Donaustadt district since 1997 and was a district councilor and deputy chairwoman of the SPÖ-Donaustadt club between 2001 and 2005. Between 2004 and 2005 she also held the position of deputy chairwoman of the district council. Schrödl was then a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council from November 18, 2005 to November 19, 2012, where she also represented the SPÖ in the Urban Development and Transport Committee.
